Past TV productions

Prior to working in Scotland, Karen was an Assistant Producer for BBC Northern Ireland TV for five years producing and directing factual, current affairs, arts and entertainment programmes for broadcast, including live and ‘as live’ studio recordings, single camera location filming, live concert recording, multi camera studio recordings and ob doc self shooting/editing.

Credits include:

Nolan Live, First  Stop, Festival Nights, XITH Hour, ATL TV, Hot Press Music Awards, Witness Music Festival, Pipes and Drums, The Twelfth, Hugo & Friends Live, Straight Talking, Dinner Next Door.

Karen has worked as a researcher on factual and entertainment programmes for BBC NI, Sky & RTE. Credits include: Patrick Kielty Show (entertainment chat show), Mary from Dungloe (documentary) & World Irish Dancing Competition (documentary).

She was also a camera assistant on factual and entertainment content for Sky, RTE, TV3 and TG4 in Ireland. Credits include: Tylak & Rooney (comedy), The DIY Show (factual) & Gourmet Ireland (cookery) and The Rankin Challenge (cookery).

She was a camera trainee on Northern Ireland Film and Television Commission (now NI Screen) funded short films Cluck and Elsewhere.
